TARGET USER

User Persona

We created a user persona to represent our end-user group. This reminds us to focus on the behaviors and qualities of our users on a smaller scale. It also provides insight into the context of how our product will be used. As researchers we must keep in mind what the user would want in real life and if they would continue to use our product once they're interested.

Empathy Map

Our empathy map allows us to understand how our users speak, think, act, and feel. By referring to this chart and the user persona, we can make better decisions according to what our users would want.

User Journer Map

The user map takes the user's proposed experiences and lays them out for the researchers. We go through the different actions and thought processes that the user may take while using our product and interpret their potential reactions. This step was necessary for coming up with various potential prototype ideas of how we could approach creating our product.

Problem Statement

“Charlie is an exhausted college student who needs help establishing a better sleep routine because she needs more energy and time management during the day.”

Goal Statement

“Our sleep scheduling app will let users sleep a healthy amount at appropriate hours, which will affect students who struggle to get good sleep by following the guidance our app provides. We will measure effectiveness by taking user surveys asking whether they have noticed any improvements in their sleep (and consequently, their life).”
